• As a Danville native, it is my honor to serve the community of Danville in this capacity as the Associate Superintendent of Danville School District #118.  My commitment lies in leading with integrity while ensuring that I remain visible and accessible to all members of our community.

As an educational leader, I believe that relationships form the cornerstone of effective learning. Students flourish when they feel emotionally secure, authentically connected, and truly valued. Strong, supportive relationships are not only vital for student well-being, but they also serve as a foundation for academic growth, identity development, and long-term success.

Throughout my career, from classroom teacher to district leader, I have witnessed the profound impact that secure and responsive connections can have on children’s lives. I am committed to creating learning environments where every child feels seen, heard, respected, and valued. In these spaces, we celebrate diversity, and the presence of trust and a sense of belonging serves as a catalyst for student achievement.

My leadership emphasizes the following priorities:

    • Fostering school cultures that prioritize care and connection
    • Supporting educators in cultivating trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
    • Collaborating with families to enhance home-school relationships
    • Ensuring that policies demonstrate a commitment to equity, dignity, and emotional wellness

I believe that by leading with compassion and maintaining high expectations for all, we empower students not only to achieve academically but also to thrive as confident, capable, and compassionate individuals. Education transcends mere instruction; it is fundamentally about the way we inspire and support our students. Every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and motivated to reach their full potential.
