Ms. Delzell
Kathy Delzell is currently a Teaching Assistant at North Ridge Middle School. Mrs. Delzell worked as a Special Education Teacher in Danville District 118 for 35 ½ years before retiring in 2016. After retirement, she stayed on at North Ridge as a substitute teacher before taking full time employment in her current position. In January 2021, Mrs. Delzell celebrated her 40th year of service to the children and families in Danville District 118. Mrs. Delzell also serves as the advisor to the North Ridge Builders Club, a position she has held for 24 years. She was awarded a Danville Public Schools Outstanding Teacher Award in 1990 and was a Golden Apple Award recipient. Mrs. Delzell loves working with children and enjoys community service. She especially loves community projects that help to honor our veterans.
Mrs. Delzell has two adult children, Carly and Jonathon, a son-in-law, Chad, and four grandchildren, Rowen, Maddox, Olivia, and Tessa. She also has five sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Delzell also has a tiny dog, Tinkerbell, and a large cat, Sprinkle Donut. In her spare time, she enjoys attending her grandchildren’s activities, reading, watching movies, and spending time with her large extended family. Mrs. Delzell loves history and hopes to spend some time traveling in the future. Her parents were her greatest role models.
