Ms. Carey
My name is Ms. Carey, and I am excited to be part of this wonderful school community. I am a mom who loves spending time with her family. I am also a huge Illini Fan...I-L-L!! I have a passion for helping students achieve their best, I look forward to working closely with our students and families throughout the school year. As the school social worker, my role is to support the academic, personal, and social development of all students. Here are some of the services I provide:
Individual Support: One-on-one assistance for personal, academic and mental health concerns.
Group Sessions: Small group sessions on topics like social skills, anger management, and more.
Crisis Intervention: Immediate support in times of crisis or significant stress.
Family Support and Resources: Connecting students and families with community resources and support services.
I believe in creating a warm and welcoming environment where every student feels valued and heard. I am here to listen, support, and provide resources to help each student thrive.
"Every child deserves a champion-an adult who will never give up on them, who understands the power of connection and insists that they become the best that they can possibly be." - Rita F. Pierson
