Energy Team

District No. 118 Energy Education Specialist (EES) and a company called Cenergistic are partnered to save on energy costs so that we can put more money into education and less into energy. We do this by reducing electric and natural gas consumption.

The Energy Education Specialist (EES) is responsible for visiting buildings within the school district to make sure we are conserving energy whenever possible. Buildings are visited regularly to ensure that electricity, natural gas and other utilities are consumed minimally. Along with District No. 118 the EES partners with Cenergistic to discover various ways to cut our energy cost. District No. 118 and Cenergistic have partnered together for the past eight years and have saved over 2.4 million dollars in energy conservation.
